Tours do sell out, so please consider purchasing in advance! $15 per person. Ages 12+.
Attendees do not learn the location of the tour until after purchasing – this is part of the fun! Doing this doesn’t allow folks much time to Google the history of the cemetery for themselves and potentially take some of the intrigue out of the tour!
All cemeteries include walking in grass and on dirt – with a few inclines. Aside from my classroom settings, they are the least physically demanding tours I offer.
Spend an evening discovering the Haunted History of Benson! At a relaxed pace we walk through downtown Benson and cover some the darker history of the area. You will also hear a number of paranormal experiences that folks have had while living and working in Benson. . The walk is approximately ½ mile – all concrete. Location of where to park and meet is revealed after purchase. Ages 12+ due to material.
This is one of my most popular tours – and for good reason! We focus heavily on the paranormal and (of course) true crime. I can say with certainty that one of the scariest encounters of my life happened there. This tour landed me on Buzz Feed's "Top 16 Ghost Tours That Will Actually Scare the Crap Out of You".
This is the MOST physically demanding tour I offer. It includes stairs, inclines, and declines. While you do not have to be a triathlete, it is a HIKE!
If you have been on my Haunted Hummel Hike, this is basically a Part II. We do not hike during this tour, we meet at a shelter in the park and relax at picnic tables. Accompanied by newspaper clippings and such, we revisit all of the stories you heard on the tour – and learn some that are not covered on the hike.
Another one of my personal favorites! This location holds the trophy for being the only place where a group of adults RAN out of the woods. The tour is about 50% paranormal, 50% true crime. We walk about ½ mile through the woods on a dirt path.
This location does have inclines and declines, and we walk along a slim dirt path through the woods. You will need to hop over tree roots a few times.
Come take a light trek through the woods while we go into depth about Bigfoot! We will discuss the various sightings that have been reported in Nebraska over the years. The exact location is revealed once tickets are purchased.
While not as rigorous as Hummel Park, this location does have inclines and declines and we are going through brush on a dirt path.
Come relax along the river, campfire style, and hear the local tales of specters with true crime sprinkled in. All attendees will need to bring a camping chair – we will not be walking much at all, just from the parking lot to the riverbank.
Hi, I'm Jamie! I am the owner and only tour guide of Midwest Paranormal History Tours. I LOVE history, the paranormal, and Omaha! I work full time in property management, and am fortunate enough to give tours in my free time.
No, these are small tours and tickets are limited. If you cancel for any reason, your ticket is non-refundable. The only exception is if I must cancel it due to severe weather.
I ALWAYS wear sneakers or boots. You will be walking on grass, dirt paths, rocky paths, and some concrete. Pants are suggested during mosquito season. *I'll have bug spray on hand.
I never set out to scare people, no one is going to jump out or yell BOO! This is a historical tour - we talk about true crime and the paranormal. I can't say no one ever gets a little spooked, but it can usually be explained by a squirrel running through some leaves. *****I do NOT suggest you bring your children. I don't want to and I will not scare children. AGE LIMIT OF 12+
YES! I have had plenty of spouses and friends that came out of courtesy and had an amazing time! I do ask that everyone respects the opinions of others. I encourage all people to share their personal experiences and, and feel comfortable doing so.
A light drizzle won't stop us. Thunder, lighting, pouring rain, and tornadoes WILL. If a tour will be cancelled due to weather, I will notify you by 5pm day of tour. You may choose to reschedule or get a full refund.
